Match Preview: Everton v Manchester United

    By Mollie Bennett (@molliebjourno)

John Stones and Seamus Coleman are set to return to the Everton line-up for the clash against Manchester United on Saturday.

Stones missed Everton’s previous two games, as well as England’s final European qualifiers with a knee injury, however the defender is set to return to face the club he scored his maiden Everton goal against last term.

Fellow defender Coleman is set to make his first appearance for the Toffees in over a month, after playing the full 90 minutes for his country in Ireland’s loss to Poland.

Kevin Mirallas is back in contention for the Blues after serving his three-match ban, while Roberto Martinez has also confirmed that all Evertonians who were on international duty have returned to Finch Farm fully fit.

The Blues are still without long-term absentees Leighton Baines, Tom Cleverley and Steven Pienaar, although the trio are closing in on a return to action within the next couple of weeks. Elsewhere, Tony Hibbert and Muhamed Besic are still out for the Blues.

Louis Van Gaal will be without Luke Shaw and Paddy McNair, however former-Toffee Wayne Rooney is expected to be fit to face his boyhood club.

Michael Carrick, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo are all facing a race against time to feature at Goodison Park.

The Blues will be looking to extend their four-game unbeaten run in the league, and three game winning streak over United at Goodison Park.

My Everton 11: Howard; Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Galloway; McCarthy, Barry; Mirallas, Barkley, Deulofeu; Lukaku.
