Premier League Best XI: 24-25th Oct. The HurriKane strikes

We are now 10 weeks into the season and the early pace is being set by Man City and Arsenal. Chelsea are currently lying right down in 15th place while West Ham are this seasons surprise package in 3rd. West Ham are in such a good place mainly down to one man Dimitri Payet who is the leading points scorer after 10 games.

This week saw only 24 goals in the 10 games with 6 being scored on Sunday afternoon in Bournemouth where Tottenham put 5 past the South coast team. Harry Kane finally found his shooting boots as he banged in a hat-trick making him this weeks 'Star Player'. The English forward has been in very poor form compared to last season but those of you who showed faith in him were finally rewarded. Since the game a lot of people have drafted in Kane hoping it's the start of many goals.

This weeks goalkeeper is a surprise candidate in Sunderland's Costel Pantilimon. This week saw Sunderland's first win of the season and it came at the expense of North East rivals Newcastle 3-0. Keeping a clean sheet making 8 crucial saves in the process earns Pantilimon his place.

There are 2 Sunderland defenders joining their keeper in this weeks team and they are Younes Kaboul and Billy Jones. Not only did they play vital roles in keeping out Newcaslte they also played their part in the scoring. Jones scored one and Kaboul set one up to help Sunderland to their 3 goals. Joining these 2 in the back 5 this week are Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal), Gareth McAuley (West Brom) and Christian Fuchs (Leicester). All 3 kept clean sheets this weekend and Koscielny also managed to get his name on the scoresheet.

The midfield 2 this week are Almen Abdi (Watford) and Moussa Dembele (Spurs). Both of them bagging goals this weekend. Abdi with the second in Watford's very impressive 2-0 victory over an in-form Stoke side which also saw Troy Deeney get his first Premier League goal. Dembele grabbed one in Tottenham's demolition of Bournemouth.

There is a front 3 this week consisting of Steven Fletcher, Mauro Zarate and the fore-mentioned Harry Kane. Fletcher got the goal to round off Sunderland's 3-0 victory after also setting one up earlier in the game. Zarate got the first of the game in West Ham's 2-1 victory over struggling Chelsea heaping more pressure on Jose Mourinho.

A player not in the team but definitely deserves a mention is this years in-form striker Jamie Vardy who extended his scoring streak with another this weekend. The Leicester man is on fire and is now owned by about 45% of fantasy managers.
