Premier League Best XI: 21-23 Nov - Will Jamie Vardy ever stop scoring?

He didn't make the Team of the week this week but I think Jamie Vardy deserves a special mention. The Leicester frontman who has started this season like a train matched Ruud Van Nistelrooy's incredible ten game scoring streak. He did it against the same opposition as Van Nistelrooy did, Newcastle, who admittedly were woeful on Saturday.

The big result of the weekend definitely came at the Etihad where Liverpool turned up and put 4 past the sky blues. Something that only happens once every blue moon nowadays (Pardon the pun).

Now here is the best team from the premier league this weekend:

Costel Pantilimon (Goalkeeper) - The keeper was incredible on Monday night as Sunderland got their first away win of the season and second successive win at Selhurst Park. They held off the Crystal Palace attack for almost the whole game and then hit them on the break to earn victory in a real smash and grab.

Erik Pieters (Defender) - The Stoke centre-back had an excellent game on Saturday where he helped earn his side a clean sheet and also set up the only goal of the game to give his side a 1-0 win.

Seamus Coleman (Defender) - He was one of the star performers from right back as Everton eased past Villa. Coleman not only put in a shift at the back but managed to get forward enough to get an assist for one of the four goals. Coleman is definitely a fantasy football favourite. Provides goals and assists consistently from defence.

Danny Simpson (Defender) - The Leicester full back makes up the back three in this weeks team and completed the same feat as the fore-mentioned defenders. Leicester went top of the table this weekend after a very impressive 3-0 victory over a lackluster Newcastle side. Simpson got an assist in the game and also gave a solid defensive performance.

Ross Barkley (Midfielder) (STAR PLAYER) - The Everton midfielder had a fantastic game opening the scoring for his side before getting his second and Everton's third just before the break. He then rounded off his performance with an assist for Lukaku. By far the best player of the weekend, the Englishman is really finding his feet at the top level.

Roberto Firmino (Midfielder) - The Brazilian Attacking Midfielder played in a more advanced role at the weekend and had by far his best game in a Liverpool shirt. He caused Mangala into the mistake that led to the first goal, provided a sensational assist for Coutinho for the third and then got his name on the score heet to put the reds 3-0 up and out of sight. Hopefully a sign of things to come from a player with a lot of potential.

Philippe Coutinho (Midfielder) - The other half of the duo that destroyed City on Saturday evening. He developed a seamless partnership with his compatriot and returned the favour after he scored and provided and assist for Firmino. Liverpool's best player is definitely hitting form.

Andre Ayew (Swansea) - The bargain of the season popped up again pulling his team from 2-0 down getting 1 and assisting the other. Swansea got Ayew on a free and has been fantastic this season. Its certain the swansea would be in a lot more trouble without him. The big boys might come calling for him.

Harry Kane (Striker) - After a very shaky start to the season Kane now has 8 goals in 5 games and is definitely giving Vardy a run for his money as best English striker. He got himself another 2 goals on Sunday afternoon when Tottenham put West Ham to the sword 4-1. Definitely one to watch and consider putting in your team for the foreseeable future.

Romelu Lukaku (Striker) - The big belgian is finding himself in the team of the week quite regularly. He joined an elite list this week being only one of a few players including Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney who have scored 50 goals in the Premier League before they are 23.

Leonardo Ulloa (Striker) - He's been very quiet so far this season as Vardy and Mahrez have stolen the headlines but the big striker got in the team in style this weekend with a goal and an assist helping Leicester to the top of the table.
