Premier League Best XI: 7-8th Nov - Vardy Makes it 9!!

The weekend before an international break is one that every looks to put in a quality performance so there are no regrets in the week off. However this can't be the case for everyone.

Here is the full list of results from the weekend:

    Bournemouth 0-1 Newcastle
    Leicester 2-1 Watford
    Man Utd 2-0 West Brom
    Norwich 1-0 Swansea
    Sunderland 0-1 Southampton
    West Ham 1-1 Everton
    Stoke 1-0 Chelsea
    Aston Villa 0-0 Man City
    Arsenal 1-1 Spurs
    Liverpool 1-2 Crystal Palace

The main talking points came at Leicester where Jamie Vardy scored for the ninth game in a row and is now only one away from Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record, and at Stoke where Chelsea lost again while Jose Mourinho was serving his one-match stadium ban.

The Team of The Week is as follows:

Rob Elliott (GK) - The Newcastle stopper who has come in for the injured Tim Krul in recent weeks played a crucial role in bagging Newcastle a rare victory. Elliott made 5 vital saves to make sure their early goal sealed the win.

Scott Dann (Def) - His late goal saw Palace scrape past Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. The scouser scored in the 82nd against the team he grew up supporting. He didn't manage to keep a clean sheet but he had a very good game and played an important part of keeping Liverpool out for the second time.

Maya Yoshida (Def) - The Southampton defender put in a quality performance to see them through against Sunderland. He hasn't been the first choice centre-back for them this season but was given the nod against Sunderland and took full advantage.

Philipp Wollscheid (Def) - Stoke have made a pretty good start to the season and this weekend they heaped more misery on Chelsea. In order to keep out the like of Hazard, Pedro and Costa it takes a very solid defence and Wollscheid was at the heart of it. Only picked by 0.8% of managers however so didn't really benefit many people.

Andre Wisdom (Def) - Norwich grabbed themselves a very impressive win at home to Swansea this weekend. Wisdom is enjoying a loan spell at the Canaries and this week put in a stellar performance keeping out a very pacey Swansea attack.

Jesse Lingard (Mid) STAR PLAYER - The Man United youngster was the pick of the bunch this week. He was exceptional in United's 2-0 win scoring the first goal to get them on their way with a very well taken strike from outside the area.

Jonny Howson (Mid) - Howson scored the only goal in the game when Swansea visited Carrow Road on Saturday and then helped sure up the midfield to hang on to the much deserved victory. He doesn't get many goals so this really is a rare occasion.

Philippe Coutinho (Mid) - For the second week in a row Liverpool's Brazilian magician scored to pull the reds level. Liverpool went on to lose the game but without the efforts of Coutinho it could have been a lot worse. He has been far and away Liverpool's best player this season and Klopp is going to need him if they are going to get into the top 4.

Manuel Lanzini (Mid) - His third goal of the season helped West Ham on their way to a draw against an in-form Everton side. He put the hammers 1-0 with a very good curling effort into the top corner. It was cancelled out by a Lukaku goal but they held on for a point.

N'Golo Kante (Mid) - Featuring for the first time this season the Leicester midfielder scored his first goal of the season, which helped Leicester to a 2-1 victory and put them 2 points off the top of the table.

Jamie Vardy (ST) - The best player of the season so far did it again this week. The player that has come up through non-league football to the Premier League is now on a flying streak and has scored for 9 games in a row. His goal this week came from the spot as he won and took the penalty that won the game.

Next week is internationals so no points to be won but don't forget to get you team sorted for the week after.
