    Diego Costa Admits "Mistake"

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has described throwing his bib at Jose Mourinho as a mistake.
In an interview with Spanish radio station Onda Cero after Chelsea's 2-0 win over Porto, Costa pledged to improve his form after struggling for much of 2015.

"I made a mistake but my relationship with Mourinho is amazing, we get on really well. There are things you need to control, but the bib thing was an impulse.

"The truth is Chelsea haven't been in a great moment, above all losing the other day at home. Today it was important to win to make the fans happy and to recover our confidence."

"I know I have to be better to go to Euro 2016 with Spain. I have to work hard and fight but I know I have time to improve and I hope I will."

Mourinho originally played down reported discontent by explaining "If he wants to hurt me, it's not with a bib. I have a good relationship with him, no problems".

The Portuguese manager has created a reputation for challenging players and staff in the workplace so it would come as no surprise if tensions did exist. Jose will want to tread carefully as he will require a consistent striker if Chelsea are ever going to be able to begin climbing the league.

Confidence is being portrayed in the Chelsea camp with Mourinho looking to December with optimism. "I think we can look to December with enthusiasm. I'm convinced at the end of December we'll be in a different position to where we are now and we will shorten clearly the distance to the top teams."
