    Southampton v Tottenham Match Preview.

    Mauricio Pochettino returns to his old club this weekend as Tottenham Hotspur travel to Southampton.

    The 42-year-old Argentine left Saints’ in 2014 and replaced Tim Sherwood in the dugout and he has transformed Spurs’ fortunes.He has brought youngsters into the first-team, Eric Dier and Ryan mason to name a few. The capture of Dele Alli has proven to be an inspired signing. The former MK Dons star has scored four goals so far this season.Tottenham currently occupy fifth position in the Premier League and they have a good chance of qualifying for the Champions’ League as Chelsea lie in 16th.

    On the other scale of things, Southampton are in a poor run of form. They have gone five games without a win and Koeman has a lot to do to change his side’s fortunes.Crystal Palace’s victory over Saints came as no surprise as Yohan Cabaye scored the winner.

    Jordy Clasie the summer signing from Feyenoord has been on the fringes so far this season but he is determined to put the past few months behind him: “The first time I was sitting on the bench I was angry because the team draw and I didn’t play. It was very difficult, but the second game I had to learn from it.
    “I think I’m now back to 100 per cent. It’s normal when you come back from injury the first few weeks you need time to get back to 100 per cent. Now I feel good and that’s the most important thing, ” he told Southampton’s YouTube channel.

    Graziano Pelle could return to the starting line up as he had an injection to cure his ongoing knee problem.

    Paulo Gazzaniga is set to continue in goal as Marten Stekelenburg has a toe injury and Fraser Forster is on the long-term injury list,

    Mousa Dembele, will have a test on his fitness after recovering from illness.

    Clinton Njie has been ruled out with a knee problem whilst Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard are unavailable due to ankle injuries.

    Tottenham are unbeaten in the last six matches against Southampton, winning five of those matches.
