    Premier League Festive XI

    The Festive period has come and gone and it has seen lots of thrills and spills across the premier league.

    With lots of games coming thick and fast it is the perfect time of year to score a fair few points on fantasy football. Here are the pick of the players from the game-weeks 18 and 19.

    Simon Mignolet (GK) - The Liverpool keeper ended 2015 with the most clean sheets of anyone in the premier league that year. He kept 2 more in his last two games of the year in consecutive 1-0 victories over the festive period.

    Mamadou Sakho (Def) - Along with his team-mate he helped to keep out both Leicester and Sunderland earning two clean sheets in two games while being a key player in both games. Looking like he is finally starting to settle in the premier league. 

    Ashley Williams (Def) - Swansea's captain was key to their good form over Christmas as he put in man of the match performances in order to keep out West Brom and Crystal Palace. These two performances made him the highest scoring defender over the two games.

    Jose Fonte (Def) - Boxing Day turned out to be a day to remember for Southampton as they dispatched Arsenal relatively easily as they turned out 4-0 victors. Jose Fonte not only put in a key performance at the back he got his name on the scoresheet.

    Cuco Martina (Def) - Joining his team-mate he was at the forefront of what went right for Southampton as he kept a clean sheet and like Fonte scored to help his team to a 4-0 win.

    Mesut Ozil (Mid) - Mesut Ozil has been in electric form this season as he has almost broken the assists record with half the season still to be played. After a quiet and forgettable boxing day he was the main man in Arsenals revival with goal and an assist in the next game against Bournemouth.

    Marko Arnautovic (Mid) (Star Player) - The new look Stoke City are impressing people every single game and one of the men who is helping to do this is Marko Arnautovic. Grabbing himself 2 goals and an assist over the two games he is the Star Man over the festive period.

    Kevin De Bruyne (Mid) - Man City took full advantage of Arsenal's defeat on Boxing Day as they put Sunderland to the sword 4-1 with De Bruyne getting himself a goal and 2 assists in the process. He was quiet in the next game but still picked up a clean sheet against Leicester.

    Michail Antonio (Mid) - He has been at the heart of West Ham's good form recently. With a goal and 2 assists over the two games he helped clinch a draw on boxing day and then was influential in their 2-1 victory over Southampton.

    Xherdan Shaqiri (Mid) - The Swiss international joins his Stoke team-mate Arnautovic in the best XI as he has found his feet in the Premier League and he is now showing exactly what he is capable of with two goals in a thriller as they beat Everton 4-3.

    Harry Kane (ST) - The spurs striker started the season slowly by his standards however has really got his form back and is as free-scoring as ever in recent weeks. With 2 goals and an assist over the two games he has help get Spurs into the top 4 and they are genuine contenders now.
