Euro 2016- Players To Watch This Summer

Euro 2016 is set to be one of the most exciting and hotly contested tournaments in recent years, mostly due to the array of young talent that have exploded onto the European football scene this year.

    Michy Batshuayi-Belgium

The flamboyant Belgium striker has been a sensation this season, in his third year at Marseille he has netted 23 goals this season, with 17 league coming in Ligue 1.  In what has been a very disappointing season for Marseille, Batshuayi has been their major, and only real plus.

However the high flying front man faces stiff attacking competition within the national side from the Premier League, including the in-demand Romelu Lukaku and Liverpool duo Divock Origi and Christian Benteke.
Before the Euros has even begun he has attracted the attention of English sides such as West Ham and Spurs. So with a good tournament, one could expect to see Batshuayi terrorising EPL defences next season.

    Antoine Greizmann- France

Despite the French squad yet to be confirmed, we can all presume Greizmann will not only be included, but will be starting in the Tournament opener against Romania on June 10th. Greizmann joined Atletico in 2014 and despite having a great first season, this season was his real break through. Scoring 32 goals in 53 games in all competitions this season he has quickly become one of Europe's most sort after properties. The French team is littered by talented young names such as Rafael Varane, Paul Pogba and Kingsley Coman.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Frenchmans' play is his work rate off the ball, in the tireless Atleti team that has seen them progress to this seasons Champions League Final. His club coach Diego Simeone has hailed him as one of the three best players in the world, and behind Ronaldo, Greizmann is second favourite along side Thomas Müller to be the tournament's top scorer this summer at odds of 8/1 (Betfair).

    Dele Alli-England

Dele Alli has been one of many young English talents to break through this year, alongside Eric Dier and Marcus Ashford. But what stands him ahead of his team mates is his versatility and aggression. Alli has played as a deep lying midfielder this year, as well as on the right, and mainly as a number 10 for Spurs in their fantastic league campaign this season. His link up play with Harry Kane has often got Spurs' fans off their seats, and the English faithful hope their partnership will continue to blossom in France

Alli has found the net 10 times this league campaign, most notably against Crystal Palace in one of the best solo goals of the season, as well as 9 assists. His elegance and grace on the ball is perfectly matched with his tenacity and aggression off the ball, to make him a key cog in Roy Hodgson's machine this summer.

    Leroy Sanè- Germany

The exciting Shalke 04 winger was unheard of by many this time last year, but in 12 months he has set alight the Bundesliga with his blistering pace and venemous shot. Sané has netted 9 times this season with 7 assists. Shalke 04 have had a mediocre campaign, and qualifying for the Europa League may not be enough for the 20 year old to stay in Shalke, with him being heavily linked with English giants Manchester City and United, with the rumoured fee to be around £35 million.

Sanè was handed his International debut against France last November by Joachim Löw and perhaps might not start for Germany this summer, but is being backed by many to make his mark on the Continental stage this summer off the bench.

These 4 players are just a handful of a big group of exciting young European talent set to stamp their name in history in France this summer. Other young promising names include: Marco Reus, Alvaro Morata, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Matthias Ginter and Yevhen Konoplyanka.
