    Is Marouane Fellaini A liability?

When Manchester United signed Marouane Fellaini in the summer of 2013. Hopes were high that the tall imposing midfielder would fill a void that united needed in the form of a tough tackling, ball winning Maverick in the mould of a Natural replacement for the retiring United legend Paul Scholes.

After impressing at Everton under the guidance of David Moyes, New United manager Moyes snapped up Fellaini for £27.5m in a last minute deadline day deal. Rumours abounded that Fellaini's  release clause was actually £25 million and that Moyes Paid needlessly extra to get his man. Despite this. United fans were eager to see Felliani in a united shirt and had high hopes that he could create some of the form that made him a hit at Everton.

After initially  impressing in his first few games at united, Fellaini saw his season nosedive which resulted in him playing just 16 premier League games for the red devils In his first season at the club. This was not helped when he received his first red card for United in the champions league match against Real Sociedad, a mere two months after signing with the club, Further incidents of poor performances and Disciplinary incidents soon followed and Hampered any hopes united had of finding Scholes succesor.

With David Moyes sacked within a season at united. New manager Louis Van Gaal Decided to put his faith in Fellaini and handed him 27 premier league games. Again intially  where he had a much improved season in a struggling United side and scoring 6 goals.  Fans however were still not convinced That he could replace fully Scholes. And Felliani was often booed for his lacklustre performances

The 2015\16 season failed to endear Felliani to united's fans. Taking part in just 18 premier league games, and with just the one goal in return both Van Gaal and The fans Patience were Beginiing to wain even further in the Midfielder as he started to have more a reputation for his disciplinary record rather than his performance. Rumours surfaced that incoming manager Jose Mourinho would offload him once he arrived at the club

With Mourinho at the Helm. Felliani has made twelve appearances thus far this season,  though mostly substitute appearance.. His latest was giving away a penalty whilst being on the pitch for just two minutes into the game against former club Everton.

Once again the boos have returned every time fellaini has made an appearance this season and many united fans are wondering just why is he still at the club.

With all that said. Is Fellaini a liability or is it just a case of him failing to fill the legendary boots of Paul Scholes, Certainly he has yet to set the world alight at united however he adapts to any position that is given to him by his manager and never complains about doing so either.  However at 29 years of age is the writing on the wall for the big man?.  United fans boo him. His performances are under par.  Does he have a future at Manchester United.
