Most underrated players for each Premier League team

Most underrated players for each Premier League team

Arsenal – Olivier Giroud – 49 goals in 91 starts and people question his ability… On his day Olivier Giroud is a handful for any defence. Is he appreciated?

Bournemouth – Charlie Daniels – Daniels has defended well and breaks up play in the middle of the park. Without this Bournemouth would struggle and the players recognise this by voting him player’s player of the year 2016.

Burnley – Dean Marney – His work rate and tackles in the middle of the park are winning Burnley points this season. Too old for an England call up?

Chelsea – David Luiz – Not as error prone as people thought. Luiz is holding the back 3 together like glue and is the core of an incredible defensive unit.

Crystal Palace – James Mcarthur – Mcarthur has added four Premier league goals to the Palace tally from Midfield. Impressive displays from the attacking midfielder.

Everton – Ashley Williams – Provided experienced and steady cover for the outbound John Stones. Williams has been solid and reliable for Everton this season.

Hull City – Curtis Davies is pretty well appreciated for his talents so this will be no surprise to Hull fans but Davies is underrated as an English centre back. Is it too late for an England call up?

Leicester City – Shinji Okazaki – The striker has been one of few Leicester players to match his premier league form last season. The introduction of two new strikers has motivated Okazaki to maintain his form.

Liverpool – Divock Origi – The striker has really raised his game this season and is challenging Sturridge for the number one striker position. Origi could be a future world beater.

Manchester City – Fernandinho – Apart from his red card against Chelsea, Fernandinho has been reliable and consistent for Manchester City. He is a good passer and covers a lot of ground in midfield.

Manchester United – Juan Mata – The Spanish midfielder must have been worried when Mourinho took over the reigns at Old Trafford, but the playmaker is determined to prove a point. One of few United players in form this season.

Middlesborough – Ben Gibson – A future English centre back. Gibson has been superb at the heart of defence. Solid and reliable. Southgate must be watching…

Southampton – Van Dijk - A rock at the back. He will be at a top European club next season. Skillfull on the ball as well.

Stoke City – Joe Allen – The welsh playmaker has been reliable and consistent for Stoke this season.  Four goals in 13 games is an impressive ratio. I wouldn’t be surprised if a top club takes a punt on him next season. Reminds me of Yossi Benayoun.

Sunderland – Jermaine Defoe - Isn’t underrated by Sunderland fans but he is proving why he has been underrated his whole career. Should England have utilised him more? Should a big club have taken a chance on him?

Swansea –Leroy Fer seems to be the only man at Swansea doing his job. six goals this season.

Tottenham Hotspur – Dele Alli -  Continues to impress for Spurs. Was he a one season wonder? No. Dele Alli is one of the best centre midfielders in the world but he is not yet recognised as he does not win trophies.

Watford – Troy Deeney – The Watford striker is not underated by Watford fans but again he is underated by the FA. How has he not been awarded an international cap? He is a leader on the pitch and this is what England need.

West Brom – Gareth Mcauley – Solid centre back with three league goals this season. He is largely contributing to West Broms form at the moment.

West Ham – Antonio – Already called up to the England squad. Antonio has six goals this season and is one of few West Ham players in form.
