    Hull sack Mike Phelan after winning just one Premier League game as full-time boss

    Hull City have parted company with manager Mike Phelan, the Premier League club have announced.
    Phelan was only made the club's permanent manager in October, having taken over on a temporary basis when Steve Bruce resigned in the summer.
    But he won just one league game after being given the role long-term, and has now been replaced.
    The Tigers are bottom of the Premier League table, and have not won since early November.
    The club tweeted: 'The search for a replacement has begun and an announcement will be made in due course...'
